Campaign to End Loneliness 〰️

Social Services

Faith in Action offers in-home counseling, support groups, respite care, telephone companionship, friendly visiting, pet therapy, movement & balance classes and social programming to help combat loneliness and social isolation for family caregivers and older adults who live alone. The creation of a new “family of friends” is critical for seniors whose existing social networks are shrinking due to moves, illness and death. Our caregiver support group also provides volunteer companionship so family caregivers can attend these groups.

All of our social programs are in-person and the vast majority are small groups. We always provide transportation and we believe in carpools that encourage chit chat where friendships start to flourish. We do not expect participants to use email or have a smart phone. We like good, old-fashioned human-to-human phone calls even if they take more time.
