Our Mission:

Volunteer Support for Independent Living

Living independently during your golden years should be an enjoyable and rewarding time of life. For some older adults that means aging in place. It also means recognizing when you need a little bit of help to meet your changing needs. The mission of Faith in Action Volunteers is to help you maintain your independence while preserving your dignity and quality of life at home.

Our Services

Escorted Transportation

Faith in Action’s Escorted Transportation Service provides reliable, volunteer-based, escorted transportation for the older adults in our community.  Service is available for medical appointments, grocery shopping, other errands, therapies and socialization.

Respite Care

Faith in Action Volunteers provide in-home companionship for homebound adults so family caregivers have short term relief from the responsibilities of caregiving. Respite care is available once a week for two hours.  Priority is given to older adults who cannot afford a professional caregiver.

Socialization

Faith in Action provides social programming for older adults who may be homebound due to a lack of companionship or transportation. Choose from four different clubs that happen either weekly or monthly.

Information & Referral

Our communities are rich with older adults resources but it can be difficult to navigate through these options.  The Faith in Action staff can provide direction so you can identify what resources are best for you.
