Volunteer for seniors in your community
The mission of Lake County Partners in Aging is to help our community’s most vulnerable citizens improve their quality of life and maintain their independence longer. Some of our oldest care recipients have lived in this area all their lives. They want to remain part of an intergenerational, familiar neighborhood while living active, independent, and social lives.
Lake County Partners in Aging provides support with the normal activities of independent living such as transportation, help with grocery shopping and other errands, supportive visiting, reading, respite care and companionship at our unique, social programs. We are not private caregivers. Volunteers cannot provide more than 3 hours of volunteer time per week. If you join our volunteer family, you will find out why this is so important during your orientation.
Some volunteers are interested in helping out regularly and many prefer to give one ride a month. You can choose what fits your life. Thank you for considering the older adult population as a place you would like to donate your time.
